A Poem on the Website ofthe Red Dirt Writers Society
Journey by D. J. Russell (Feb 2009)
The flawless flight of man to God Is a foolish folly to even test. Nor shall we travel down golden roads Before 'tis our time to rest. We must struggle down winding paths, Each with a burden of our own, But no burdens shall there ever be Before our Father's throne. With each misstep, we must burn it deep, Holding every lesson dear. Though for Glory is our final goal, The journey starts right here.
