A Poem on the Website of the Red Dirt Writers Society
Untitled by Betsy Randolph (Mar 2011)
I thought of you often during the day And upon my mind, you did stay Even tonight memories did appear And remind me of the time when you were near
When you and I were all that mattered When you’d sit and listened as I chattered You were the gentle one, so sweet and sincere Your eyes spoke volumes that only I could hear
Oh if only I could see you, just once again My dear sweet grandfather, my dear sweet friend
