A Poem on the Website of the Red Dirt Writers Society
You're Grown Up! by Harriet Morgan (2001)
I remember a fat, chubby-cheeked baby;
I see a slim, lovely young woman.
I remember a laughing toddler jumping on the trampoline;
I see a happy, confident young woman.
I remember a serious eight-year-old asking grown-up questions;
I see an intelligent, capable young woman.
I remember a teenager who loved to argue;
I see a sweet, loving young woman.
