Following is the contest schedule for 2010:
The
contest rules are the following:

Very short stories (less than 500 words) - due at January meeting.

Essays - due at April meeting.

Short stories (less than 4,000 words) - due at
August meeting.

Poems - due at October meeting.
The winner will be announced at the meeting following the due date.
Entries may not contain profanity or sexually explicit material.
Subjects are unlimited.

Red Dirt Writers Society 2011 Very Short Story Contest
The first place winner was Nick Lyon for
his story "Life Ends." Second place went to Rob Brian for "To Fix a Fence," and third place
